GrubHub, DoorDash, or Uber Eats?

So, I’ve had the privilege to live in a “3rd World” context.  Can I just say it’s been pretty weird to transition back to the “1st World”?!

I keep recognizing that I’m losing perspective.  Lord, I want to remember…

Let’s never forget to thank the Lord for the material blessings that he’s placed in our hands and the context in which we live.  Let’s definitely...

  1. enjoy these blessings
  2. recognize that they come from him
  3. remember that they belong to him
  4. be generous
  5. not hold on too tightly
  6. never forget to steward these resources to both give him glory and further extend his kingdom.

For the sake of perspective, let’s have a little laugh at ourselves…

Here are some 1st World questions and observations that I've either asked myself, or heard others ask… (Smile, or cringe, it’s up to you…)

  1. Should I choose the iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max?
  2. I wonder how I should spend my stimulus check checks?
  3. I was shocked to see the increase in Ski Lift Tickets!
  4. I should probably cut back my trips to Starbucks/Dunkin/Wawa... by the way, have you noticed how slow the Wawa app is to use in the store?

  5. I can’t believe they’re making my kids wear a mask when they go to school every day.
  6. I can’t decide between GrubHub, DoorDash, or Uber Eats to deliver my McDonald’s Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
  7. How many Christmas Trees should we have this year?
  8. How much do you spend on lawn care? I’m getting tired of fixing my underground lawn sprinkler system!
  9. You can’t believe how much car insurance goes up when you add a child!
  10. The carwash has a monthly plan!
  11. There is a subscription service that you can pay for to help you find all of the subscriptions that you’ve forgotten that you’re paying for.
