Day Camp and the Pandemic

As you are already aware, we have decided to delay registration for Day Camp 2020 until May 15. This is the second registration delay and we wanted to take a moment to explain our reasoning.

As a community, state, and nation, we have been facing the challenges related to the pandemic. It has resulted in our new awareness of terms like social distancing. It has also made it normal for all of us to make fashion statements with what mask we choose to wear to Shop Rite and Santori's. And when it comes to Day Camp, it has caused to have to potentially rethink how we are registering, planning, and operating. Our hearts desire is to proceed with Day Camp on the chosen dates and in the same way we have for the past 10+ years. But we must recognize that there has been a significant economic impact in our area. We must also recognize that this outbreak has caused our nation to reconsider how we interact with one another, how we choose to be hygienic, and how much personal space we want.

Moving forward, we have chosen to delay registration so that we have time to obtain more information about the spread and impact of the pandemic in our area. The delay also allows us additional time to receive and implement any additional Federal, State, or CDC guidelines that may be released in the coming weeks. Our number one priority as we do this, is to ensure that we can provide the same Christ centered, fun, and enriching Day Camp experience we strive for in the safest manner possible. If you have any further questions about registration, Day Camp, or anything else here at Beacon, please don't hesitate to call the office (609-748-0001) or send in an email by clicking HERE.
