What attitudes led up to the crucifixion?

Two Sundays from now we will be celebrating Easter.  Easter is all about the resurrection of Christ. A marvelous reality that we celebrate by meeting every Sunday for corporate worship.  Today we will take a look at the ugliness that led up to the crucifixion. The anger, jealousy and pride of the religious leaders led them to the unconscionable...to have Jesus crucified. Lest we think we are exempt, it’s those same heart attitudes that can sow seeds of evil in our own hearts and lead us to damaging choices.

    Ruth – Wek 5
We come to the concluding chapter of Ruth...a love story, a reminder of God's faithfulness, and a reminder that it matters how we live our lives.  At a time when chaos and ungodliness often ruled the day, Ruth and Boaz model steadfastness, integrity, and wisdom.

    Ruth – Week 4
God's provision in our lives comes as we continue to follow him...lives of faithfulness are built one choice at a time. As we study the account of Ruth and Boaz, we see first and foremost they were individuals who honored God in the way they lived life in the everyday. May God find the same commitment to faithfulness in us!

    Ruth – Week 3
Today we continue our journey in the book of Ruth. Ruth presents an account of faithfulness, love, mercy, and grace in a time of uncertainty. The book also highlights two people of outstanding character...which in part had to do with their love for God and care for the poor...a beautiful reminder for each of us.

    Ruth – Week 2
We continue in the study of the book of Ruth.  Today we look at chapter 2, and as we come to the Lord's Table, we will reflect on the kindness of God.  The kindness that Ruth showed to Naomi, and Boaz showed to Ruth is the type of attitude we are to have toward one another.  This, of course all flows from the kindness that God has shown to us.

    Ruth – Week 1
This week we begin a four week study in the book of Ruth.  Ruth is a beautiful book that recounts a story of faithfulness, loyalty and love.  It takes place during a rather dark period in Israel's history, and is a wonderful reminder that God is always near...

    2 Corinthians 5:20
Today we study our verse for the year and consider what it means to be “Christ’s ambassadors”. The ministry of reconciliation is a glorious calling for each of us!
2 Corinthians 5:20 - We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
