What We Learned Through Day Camp
We're glad you're here today!  Over the past two weeks, we've had 480 campers, 50 counselors, and about 80 volunteers come through our church building.  It's been a blessing to host our 8th summer of Beacon Day Camp!  This morning we'll take a look at what was taught during Day Camp, as the lessons apply to us as adults just as much as they do to the children who were here for Camp.

    The Book of James
The book of James encourages us to not just listen to the Word of God, but to do what it says.  Standing on the truth of God’s Word has become less and less popular here in America. As we listen to James chapters 1, 3 and 5 recited today, let us prayerfully be open to what areas God wants to change in our lives. Let us be quick to do what God desires, and to obey His Word.

Why We Do What We Do
Happy July 4th weekend! As we celebrate the Lord's table, we will take some time to consider why we do what we do. In other words, how important is this time together? How important is the church? And what are we to focus on? It's our prayer that the Lord will bless your heart, your mind, and your soul as we meet together today!

    The Prophet Jeremiah
Today we take a look at the prophet Jeremiah.  Jeremiah was calling the people of God to repent and return to their faith.  Like many of the prophets we find in the Old Testament, his words fall, in large part, on deaf ears.  This morning we'll take a look at some passages that will both challenge and encourage us.

    Father’s Day
Happy Father's Day!  In Joshua 1, Moses is dead.  Joshua is now the leader of an entire nation.  God confirms His promise to Joshua and commands him to do two things:  Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS.  This morning we'll look at these two commands in light of God's promises to us.  We'll also be taking a look at Romans 8:37.

People Like You & Me – Week #21
This week we take a look at the prophet Ezekiel.  We will be looking at the book that bears his name, and the wonderful truths we can draw from it. Old Testament prophets had a monumental task, warning people of the judgement to come, while reminding them of the mercy and grace of God.  In addition, they generally spoke to an unresponsive audience...people whose hearts had been hardened toward God. Take a moment to pray this morning, asking God to continually give us receptive hearts!

    Letting God Use Your Life
Good morning!  Today we have Pastor Al sharing with us.  He'll be speaking on the concept of being used by God.  Have you experienced the joy that comes from being used by God?  Our prayer today is that God would speak to you and show you ways He wants to use you in your everyday life!

People Like You & Me – Week #20
This week we continue in our study of "People Like You and Me."  We will take one more look at the life of Daniel.  Similar to Joseph in the book of Genesis, the Scriptures do not record anything negative about Daniel's life.  He consistently walked with God, and yet, like you and me, certainly must have had his struggles.  We learn much from the example of Daniel.  Let's pray that God speaks to each of our hearts today.

People Like You & Me – Week #19
This week we return to the story of Daniel.  Daniel's life and experiences continually remind us of the power and faithfulness of God.  Immersed in a foreign culture that neither feared God nor loved Him, Daniel both honors God and prospers.  There is much to learn from his godly example.
