Study of Proverbs – Week #3
This week we continue in our study of the book of Proverbs.  Today we will look at an overview of chapters one through nine.  The theme in these chapters is wisdom, and the challenge is to pursue wisdom, to learn from her, and to get wisdom at all costs.  The Lord says in Proverbs 8:10-11, "Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her."

Study of Proverbs – Week #1
Today we begin a study in the book of Proverbs.  Proverbs is a storehouse of wisdom, common sense, humor, and wit.  It is not an easy book to preach on...but it contains much beauty and blessing when we read it!  Over the next several weeks we will ask God to speak into our lives through His Word found in this powerful book.

Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.  Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding.  For the Lord grants wisdom!
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
    Proverbs 2:2, 3, 6

    We Are Image-Bearers
Have you ever considered that each of us is a personal representative of God to the world in which we live?  God created each of us as "image-bearers," with a role to fulfill.  We each have certain attributes and abilities to do our individual jobs well.  How are YOU personally performing as a God-sent IMAGE-BEARER in your personal sphere of influence???

    A Brand New Year
Today as we worship together and celebrate the Lord's Table, we stand at the outset of a brand new year.  It's our goal in 2016 to remain faithful to our Lord and His call on our lives.  In the apostle Peter's first letter we find these words: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)  May this verse serve as a great encouragement for the year ahead!
