Study of Proverbs – Week #10

We continue in our study of the Book of Proverbs. The book has much to say on the topic of money. It addresses greed, the wealthy and poor, lending and borrowing. As always, the proverbs are pithy, short, and to the point, once again observing how life generally works. Paul reminds us so aptly that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil". For the Christian, a proper mindset and heart on this issue is vital!

    Encouraged in Unity
God wants to encourage his people (including us here at Beacon) to be united in purpose, attitudes, words and actions.  Paul tells us that these attributes are the signs of mature believers.  A united, loving church body is attractive to those in the community who yet need to establish a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  Its people are also positioned to receive the fullest measure of God's blessings.

    Transitions
Transitions!  We all face them in our lives; whether we choose them or they are forced upon us.  How we handle the transitions we go through is the key to successfully navigating them and coming out on the other side of them well.  We will take a look at how Joshua handled the transition of moving a nation from the wilderness to the promised land and gain insight into how to handle our transitions.
