The Adultorous Women

This morning we take a look at John 8 and the story of a woman being brought before Jesus. The charge was adultery...the motives were sketchy at best. This brief encounter has much to teach us about mercy, about sexual sin, false righteousness, and grace. Jesus often surprises his audience, challenging them to a deeper level of grace and beauty. May he do that in our hearts today.

    Series: Day Camp
Today we take a look at what has been our Day Camp theme verse:  "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us".  We will be studying together verses 1-17 in the book of Hebrews.  The author is encouraging us to "run Light", to "run through the pain", and to "run with integrity".  Ask the Lord to speak into your heart today.

    Psalm 46
    Series: Psalm

Today we look at a Psalm that is beloved by many.  Psalm 46 speaks volumes to hearts that can be easily overcome by fear.   We live in uncertain times, and it is rather easy to give way to fear.  The Sons of Korah, writing so many centuries ago, had a timeless message for you and me.

Study of Proverbs – Week #16
Today we will wrap up our Study of Proverbs...with a reminder that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

Today we will also celebrate communion... A reminder that Jesus has left for us. This celebration is for all who are trusting in Christ. If you are new here or visiting, you are welcome to participate with us... The only qualifier is that you have surrendered your heart to Jesus Christ. We believe in a substitutionary atonement.... That is, that Christ died in our place, a sacrifice for sins, to reconcile us to God. All who trust in Christ and his finished work are adopted as sons and daughters of God!

Take time this morning to thank God for his gracious gift!

Not only is it a blessing in our lives, it is crucial in the Christian walk...For God tells us that to not walk in wisdom is embracing foolishness.

Study of Proverbs – Week #14

Happy Father's Day! Today we will talk about the awesome privilege and blessing of being a father. Since we are in the book of Proverbs, we will take a look at several Proverbs that have to do with being a godly man. Take time today to thank God, because whether our earthly father was encouraging, absent, or a negative influence in our lives, A Christian has the understanding that God has been using it all for our good. That is a promise from God for those who put their hope in him!

Study of Proverbs – Week #13

This week we begin wrapping up our study in the book of Proverbs. Our study over these last few months has had us looking at a number of topics including: money, raising children, our speech, wisdom, laziness, etc.

Today we will again look at some random Proverbs. We realize that none of God's word is random or haphazard, it is rather a cohesive whole. We will see how these Proverbs are a complement to the rest of Scripture.

And it's our prayer that you know God intimately, that this celebration is yours personally.... And if not, that today would be the day you find your hope and trust in Christ.

We will take a look at a few Proverbs that speak about our relationship with God.
