Study of Philippians – Week #7
Today as we continue in our study of Philippians, we come to a beautiful reminder about how to manage the stress and anxiety that inevitably presses in on our lives.  The stress of life has an ebb and flow and in those most difficult times can easily overwhelm us.  Not only does Paul direct us to God and prayer...He reminds us to rejoice!  May the Lord speak powerfully into our hearts today...

Communion – Remembering What Christ Has Done
Today we celebrate the Lord's Table...A wonderful, gracious reminder of what Christ has done for us!  If today you are trusting in Jesus, you are welcome to participate.  This also provides a time for some self-examination, looking inside our hearts for those thoughts, attitudes, and behavior that are inconsistent with our trust in God.  The time around Communion gives us opportunity to confess and repent...an attitude that pleases God.  Ask God to search your heart, and show you what needs to go!

Study of Philippians – Week #6
What does it look like to have a growing, healthy, relationship with God?  Is that even possible?  In the third chapter of Philippians, Paul gives us some
insight as to what that might involve.  Today we look at Philippians 3:12 - 4:1 of this wonderful letter.

Study of Philippians – Week #5
Continuing in our study of Paul's letter to the Philippian church, today we come to chapter 3, where we find a firm warning about false teachers.  False teaching can be blatant, or very subtle, but it is always dangerous.  Let's ask the Lord to open our eyes and minds to be vigilant about the Truth.

Study of Philippians – Week #4
The apostle Paul seemed to have a genuine love for the church at Philippi.  He was grateful for every memory of them.  Today we will take a look at Philippians 2 where the people are reminded to "work out their salvation"...and are told that they shine like "stars in the universe".  If we're honest, sometimes you and I don't shine too brightly...and yet He loves us still.  That's a motivator to continue to work out this great salvation!

Study of Philippians – Week #2
This morning we continue in our study on the book of Philippians.  Today we look at chapter one and the challenging statement from Paul as he said, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain".  This book is marked by confidence and joy in the midst of difficulty.  May the Lord help you and me find that same combination!

Study of Philippians – Week #1

Today we begin a study in the book of Philippians...A letter written to a group of Christians who were under the stress of being persecuted for their faith.  Paul wanted to encourage and strengthen these fellow followers of Christ.  The book contains just four chapters, and we encourage you to familiarize yourself with it by reading it all the way through.  The author's greatest desire was to live and even die for Christ (Philippians 1:21).  We will begin to uncover why that was so...

    The Prophet Amos
What does the Old Testament have to say to me?  Is it relevant?  Can issues from several thousand years ago speak into my life?  God is the same yesterday today and forever!  Today we look at the prophet Amos and will see how remarkably applicable his situation is to ours.

    Celebrating the Lord’s Table
Today we come to celebrate the table of our Lord Jesus!  This provides a picture for us about the heart of our faith... Jesus accomplishes a work that pleases and satisfies God.  It's a work that we could never achieve on our own merit... EVER.  The table is also about a gift.  The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  He finishes the work; He offers the gift.  It's our hope that you are trusting Christ today and always!
