Palm Sunday – Why Did They Fail Him?

Today we celebrate the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem accompanied by the shouts of "Hosanna , blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!" The disciples are close at hand, encouraging, celebrating, and ministering along with him...in a few days they will all abandon Him. On one hand, they are colossal failures, yet it was God’s plan. Have you ever felt like you've failed Him? Join the club! The key is to not waste our failures...

    The Lord’s Table

We are just a few weeks away from Easter... today we will celebrate the Lord's Table together and focus on a few of the many ways Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday tie together all of Christian and Jewish history.

The cross of Christ coupled with his victory over the grave represents our hope for now and all of eternity!

Let's each take a moment this morning and ask the Lord to speak into our hearts ....

    Why Did They Hate Them?

We are just a month away from Easter! The Christmas/Easter events represent the central core of our faith...that Christ came to redeem us!

Over the next four weeks we will look at the response to Jesus…

¨ The Religious - Why did they hate him?

¨ The Disciples - Why did they fail him?

¨ The “Neutral” - What did they do with him?

¨ The Crowds - Why did they turn on him?

¨ Resurrection Sunday - Why does he love us so?

Our God is like no other.  He is a "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace".  Do you know Him?

    Revelation 4

Today we continue to celebrate the glory of God by looking at a passage in Revelation 4. "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty”.  The God we worship is "other" than we are...He is in a different category, because He has no category! Our God is indeed awesome! We also come to a Table He has left for us, reminding us of His amazing love.

    Isaiah 6

This week we take a look at the book of Isaiah, and specifically Isaiah's commission from the Lord. The passage is found in the sixth chapter of Isaiah. This passage is about the glory of God, his call on our lives, and our own weakness. You and I serve a God who is holy. The holiness of God is a lifelong study...one we will never quite grasp until we get to meet him...and maybe not even then!

Take a minute and ask the Lord to speak into your heart and mine today…

    Psalm 19

The Psalms is a beautiful portion of scripture...this morning we look at Psalm 19, a poem filled with worship, beauty, theology, and a personal challenge. May the Lord encourage our hearts today as we reflect on his majesty and power spoken of in this Psalm of praise and wonder.

    First Corinthinas

This morning we revisit the book of First Corinthians and look at some themes that the apostle Paul was addressing to this young church. This letter was written to a certain people at a certain time in history, and as we understand what it meant to them, we can draw parallels to how it is speaking to our hearts and our situations. We believe the word of God is timeless, designed to encourage and teach believers until our Lord returns!
