What is a Sister Church?

Beacon’s Morency, Haiti Partnership is a program where two churches from vastly different cultures have the opportunity to come together
as Sister Churches in a long-term, viable relationship with the purpose of transforming each church community spiritually, socially, and physically.

Through this amazing program the Sister Church’s focus of IMPACT is on five key areas.  These areas are evangelism, discipleship, education, social compassion, and community development.

The Beacon/Morency Partnership is a reciprocal one where both churches receive a warm relationship as well as the chance to work together on ministry.  It facilitates the idea of connecting church communities in order to build a bond through Christ where language, race, economic, and cultural barriers are broken; where each church thrives through communication and taking up what that church needs.  As this relationship develops, the churches partner and visit together, worshiping and working together.

Our goal in the Beacon/Morency Partnership is to build a deep-rooted spiritual community that blossoms within both churches.

Short-Term Mission Trips

Beacon’s April 2016 mission trip was a huge blessing to both Morency Church and to the Beacon Team that traveled to Haiti.  God was faithful to continue to build relationships between the two churches.  The team also took a gift of a new generator to the Morency church.  The generator will enable their congregation to reach out into the community around the  church to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

There is a Relational Team from Beacon preparing to travel to Haiti in November 2017.  This team will be visiting our sister-church in Morency church.  We ask that you would support this trip through your prayers.  If you would like to financially support the trip as well, the cost for each team member is $1400. You also could chose to give financial support for the materials for the projects that the team will be completing.  We’d greatly appreciate your support in whatever way the Lord leads you!

Would you consider being part of the next team to Morency, Haiti?  There will be more opportunities to travel to Haiti on a future team!  Stay tunes for upcoming dates.

Hope for Kidz

The single best way to lift someone out of poverty is to provide them an education.  The goal of the Hope for Kidz Child Sponsorship Program is to meet the spiritual, educational, and physical needs of children who are unable to attend school due to their severe poverty.  A $336 annual, or $28 a month, sponsorship provides a needy child with a quality Christian education.  By sponsoring a child, you are lifting him FROM dependence TO independence.  It can’t get any better than that!  Interested in sponsoring a child through Hope for Kidz?  Please contact Deb Noon, our Beacon “Hope for Kidz” Coordinator, at 609-432-4237.

Water Filters

During the two weeks of this years Beacon Day Camp, the campers collected money for RMI to buy water filters for 20 families from the Morency congregation that will provide clean water for a family for 10 years.  The gift of clean water makes a significant impact in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
